Arrowhead Neurosurgery Compendium

Privacy Policy

Effective date June 19, 2026. Last updated June 19, 2026.

This policy explains what the Arrowhead Neurosurgery Compendium does, and does not, collect. The short version is that we keep data collection to a minimum and you should never enter patient information.

Never enter patient-identifiable information. The Compendium is not a HIPAA-covered service. Do not type names, dates of birth, record numbers, or anything that could identify a patient or third party into any field, including the assistant and the feedback form.

1. Scope

This policy covers the Arrowhead Neurosurgery Compendium at arrowheadneurosurgery.com (the "Service"), operated by Arrowhead Neurosurgical Medical Group ("we," "us," or "our"). It should be read together with the Terms of Use.

2. No accounts

The Service does not require registration, login, or any account. We do not ask for your name, and we do not build user profiles.

3. What we collect

4. What we do not collect

We do not knowingly collect patient health information, we do not sell or rent data, we do not use advertising networks or cross-site behavioral tracking, and we do not place third-party advertising or social-media tracking cookies.

5. The assistant and AI inputs

The guideline assistant sends your question to a third-party AI provider to generate a response from the indexed guideline text. Your question is processed to produce the answer and is not used by us to build a profile of you. Do not enter patient-identifiable information. Treat any answer as educational reference only, and verify it against the cited source.

6. Cookies and local storage

The Service uses your browser's local storage for functional purposes only, such as remembering that you have acknowledged the disclaimer and storing any media you add to the local preview. These stay in your browser. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

7. Service providers

We rely on a small number of service providers to operate the Service, including a hosting and forms provider (Netlify), a third-party AI provider for the assistant, and the public data sources we query or embed, such as PubMed and the NCBI E-utilities, ClinicalTrials.gov, and embedded video from third-party platforms. Each processes data under its own terms. We share only what is necessary for the Service to function and never sell your data.

8. Retention

Feedback submissions are retained for as long as they are useful for improving the Service and may then be deleted. Assistant queries are processed to generate an answer and are not retained by us as an identifiable record. Provider logs are retained according to each provider's own policy.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to or restrict its processing, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act. Because we operate without accounts and collect very little, in most cases we hold no information that identifies you. To make a request, use the feedback option.

10. Children

The Service is intended for licensed clinicians and other adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the Service, including encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13. Contact

Questions about this policy may be submitted through the feedback option available in the site banner.
